Evaluation- How the audience responded to our piece (Sonia De Abreu)

Overall, the feedback we got back was better than expected. Our comments varied from group to group but we found the thing that people were not to keen on was the titles which is understandable because they are very basic but we believe that it suited the movie more; especially after watching kidulthood opening sequence you'll find that we aimed to achieve something similar to what they had which is where we got our idea from. I think if we were to go back and redo it I would think about the titles more carefully and not have them at the end and over black but instead over frames within our opening sequence. Despite this we were told that the music we used really suited the genre and our target audience and the protagonist fitted the movie really well. Also the pregnant stomach we made got really positive feedback and people thought it looked extremely real along with the bruised eye. The other thing that people commented on was the cuts they said in using the transitions it made the whole thing look much more smoother but they also said that the transitions suited the cuts perfectly. The two places in which we used them demonstrates a passing of time hence why people thought it worked really well.  The setting was up to scratch and the whole mise-en-scene was good because I believe it was the part we worked on the hardest.

Finally, I am proud of the product we have produced because we managed to pull it together really well especially bearing in mind we only had a limited amount of shots because of the incident that occurred. yet, if I could redo the whole thing again I would have definitely changed a few things such as the conversation between the three people as there is no shot reverse shot or close ups which makes the whole thing in my view look a bit too basic. As well as this filming would be planned in much more depth because some of our shots are not steady and this is noticeable, in my view this was because of a lack of planning and care as not full attention was being paid to the camera which results in a variety of problems, some of which we obviously encountered.  As well as this I think that if more of a group effort had been put in to making the opening sequence it would have been better for example maybe we wouldn't have come across the problem we had with the titles and instead have used live type, and also maybe the music despite being really good  it still could have been better if we had created it ourselves making it more original.
